SKYSCRAPER AND SANTIAGO

        

I would like to talk about one place in particular of Santiago that impressed me so much. 

The last semester we started to work in workshop about a project related to skyscrapers and the programs that we had to propose had to satisficed the people who work there. When we finish that I look the projects (also mine) and I thought that they´re impossible to make it in Santiago. Since that moment I started to look for this kind of buildings in Santiago and I found many of them and the most incredible was that they were in the same place, I figured that this place was like a blank canvas where architects could make whatever they want and this is in the zone between Los Leones and Escuela Militar. The most part of this place have big buildings but when you look better not all are interesting instead this that I’m talking has a lot of things that make it unique. About its characteristics generally they have a very complex structural system, a relation in the first floor with the street and people, an envelope that in some cases helps the structural system and finally the set of them make the city more dynamic and interesting to study.
