ARAUCANIA INVISIBLE AND NORMALIZED

Hey today I’m going to talk about Cantrillanca´s case. This is something that affected to me because I’m from Temuco, I was born there and I lived there until to come here to study. I have two opinions of this case: In first place I’m really angry because this is happening for many years and since this year we can know this kinds of situations, since to return the democracy around 15 Mapuches were killed, but nobody knows that this is happened for a long time; In second place I’m happy for finally the people could see this huge violence that the State been committing.
When I was a child I went to a school and the most part of them are the children of the people who have the lands of the Mapuches so the most part of my life I listened people talking about kill this people because they supposedly were burning their farms. You know Temuco is the city where the most part of population is political conservative (right) and my family is in the another side (left) so I grew up listening this kinds of things in the school and then I used to talk with my parents about this and they have to teach me to not believe in everything that the people talk (and less those kind of people). I told you this because I’m tired to the invisibilization that exist in this society here in Santiago and the normalization with the people of Temuco see this problem, where the only solution is to be in “peace” is kill another people. You’ve probably heard about “Peace in Araucanía” well that’s bullshit is something that some people invented to continue committing crimes against Mapuche’s people.

  1. It is hard perhaps to read opinions with knowledge, like yours for example. Many people do not believe that the state is killing its own inhabitants to silence the voice of some who continue to fight for what belongs to them.

  4. I don't understan the irrationality of the police and the autorities, this is why we should support the strike!

  5. I am not Mapuche, I am not from Temuco but I do not think that this is necessary thing to understand that a murderous state is not well, we must fight and demand respect for human rights throughout the country!
